Privacy notice

English translation · German original

This notice applies to twnhs.com and its associated technical website addresses.

1. Data controller and contact details

Hotel Wittelsbach e.K., proprietor Marcus Eismann
Hauptstraße 48, 83324 Ruhpolding, Germany
Email: info@twnhs.com
Telephone: +49 8663 1255

2. Visiting the website and hosting

When you visit the website, technical connection data are processed, including your IP address, access time, the requested page or file, and technical browser and device information. This is necessary to deliver the website, resolve faults and prevent misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure and reliable website.

This website is provided through OpenAI’s Sites hosting service. It is delivered using the Sites hosting infrastructure, including Cloudflare. The applicable OpenAI data processing terms govern the processing of visitor data on behalf of the website operator. Further information: Hosting provider’s data processing terms.

Processing by service providers outside the European Economic Area cannot be ruled out. The Sites data processing terms provide for adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses, for relevant transfers. You may request further information and a copy of the applicable safeguards using the contact details above.

3. Cookie choices and Google Analytics

We store your choice under “townhouse_consent_v1” in your browser’s local storage for no more than 180 days. This storage is necessary to respect your decision (section 25(2) TDDDG; Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the foot of the page.

We load Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, only with your consent. The legal bases are section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without your consent, our website code does not connect to Google Analytics.

We analyse page views, device and browser information and interactions, particularly clicks on booking buttons and the start or completion of the arrival video. Booking-button clicks are not confirmed bookings. We do not send names, booking references or payment details to Analytics through this website. Query parameters are removed from page addresses sent by our code. Google processes technical connection data, including the IP address; according to Google, GA4 does not log or store that address.

Analytics may use cookies such as “_ga” and “_ga_ZT5L8SD3RQ”. Our code limits their lifetime to 180 days. Google Signals, advertising personalisation and consent for advertising storage are disabled in our implementation. Retention of data collected by Google also depends on the Analytics property settings.

Data may also be processed by Google LLC in the USA. For relevant transfers, Google relies in particular on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information: Google’s privacy notice and Privacy in Google Analytics 4.

You can withdraw your consent at any time for the future: open “Cookie settings” and choose “Essential only”. Our code disables Analytics, removes accessible Analytics cookies for this domain and reloads the page. This does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

The arrival video and images are served directly, without embedded YouTube, social-media or external font services.

4. Getting in touch

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process your contact details and the contents of your enquiry to respond. For booking enquiries, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; for other enquiries, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is responding to your enquiry.

Contact details for guests booked through travel agents

On the “Your stay at the Townhouse” page, you can prepare an email containing your name, arrival date, tour operator or travel agent, email address, mobile number and optional booking reference. Our code does not transmit the form entries to a form server or store them in your browser. We receive them at info@twnhs.com only when you send the prepared message from your email application. We use them to identify your booking and provide your personal check-in access (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your email provider’s terms also apply to email transmission. We do not include Google Analytics on this form page. See section 7 for retention periods.

5. Direct bookings and My Townhouse

The booking buttons take you to my.twnhs.com, where direct booking and the My Townhouse personal guest area are provided through LikeMagic. Processing for booking, Smart Check-in and your stay is based in particular on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where statutory obligations exist, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Details of the services and processing used there are in the privacy information for the booking and guest area. We do not collect booking or payment details through a form on this information website itself.

6. External links

Links to Google Maps, tourism activities, thermal spas and other websites open services outside this website. You connect to the destination only when you follow the link. Its own privacy information applies to processing there.

7. Retention periods

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. Contact details and correspondence are deleted once the matter is completed, provided there are no statutory retention requirements or legitimate reasons for continued storage. Technical logs are subject to the retention periods required for the operation and security of the hosting services used.

8. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time for the future.

Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. Simply email info@twnhs.com with your request.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision.
